Grouse grind was great. I kicked Dr McCoy's ass!

when we were in Banff we took a guided tour into an underground cave. It was pretty fucking cool. Now I'm not saying do it (because it's the kind of thing that you'd see on "999" - remember that programme?? - and I don't want the responsibility) It was just Nigel, myself and the guide and was just a cool experience - lots of squeezing between rocks and through passages and lots of stalictites!

We picked up a flyer in our hostel so I imagine it wouldn't be too hard to find info on this.

I've got a video somewhere....I'll see if I can find it!

Isn't this just the resumption of school after summer? I think the normal process is that whichever teachers aren't pregnant get called back in to start their own jobs or fill the places of the pregnant ones. These teachers can then become pregnant after Christmas so that by the time the next school year rolls around they don't go back. It's like that process of leaving one field fallow.

Mammy Kilgarriff will not be doing the Grouse Grind. There is a chair lift to the top which I imagine she will take. I'll meet her up there.

I saw the museum in Montreal, and that was pretty cool, but they had more colonial history mixed in with the natives-peoples artifacts. And I agree, they should have used more durable plastics for their boat building.

I can't remember if it was in Vancouver or Seattle, but that First Nations Museum or something where Deco and I heard the "holograms?!" story may *not* be worth a shout. After the 50th replica canoe that was made in the 1930s, you kind of lose interest. That's what happens when an ancient culture builds all its stuff from biodegradable materials like wood! Deco may be able to clarify where this was, and if there was anything worth seeing.
